Terms, in plain language
The deal between you and Treasure Box. This is a plain-language summary written in good faith, not legal boilerplate.
What Treasure Box is
A small, free app for pinning travel memories to a map and sharing them with the people you traveled with. It's early and provided “as is” — features may change, and it may go offline. Using it means you accept these terms.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login details safe. Please give accurate information, and use the app only if you're at least 13 years old.
Your content stays yours
You own the photos, notes, and moments you add. You give us only the permission needed to run the service — to store your content, show it back to you, and show it to the trip collaborators you invite. We don't sell it or use it to advertise.
What you upload
You must have the right to post what you upload. Don't post illegal or infringing content, or other people's private information without their consent.
Fair use
No harassment or abuse of other people, and no trying to scrape, overload, break, or bypass the app's security.
Sharing is by invitation
Content on a trip is visible to the members you invite to it. The public demo trip is visible to everyone. Keep that in mind before you invite people or add something private.
Deleting and ending things
You can delete your own moments and trips at any time. To remove your whole account, just reach out (below). We may remove content or accounts that break these terms.
Services we rely on
Treasure Box runs on Supabase, Vercel, MapTiler, and Google Maps / Places. See our privacy notice for what's stored and how it's protected.
Keep your own backups
This is an early hobby product, so please don't treat it as the only copy of precious photos. We do our best, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of data loss, and we're not liable for that.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Treasure Box isn't liable for damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; continuing to use the app means you accept the update. Questions? .
